The Primary goal of the project was to enhance the overall curb appeal of an unremarkable '60s ranch and resolve issues associated with a windward-facing entrance. Homeowner sought to work within the home's mid-century lines rather than fight them.
*Bump-out allows front door to open to the north rather than west into the wind; door now has overhead cover from rain & snow.
*Rusted roofing, cedar shingles, ipe wood porch flooring introduce natural contrasts to steel structural elements.
