Technical Documents On Energy Standards And Window Performance
Two technical resource primers on the basics of energy efficiency and performance are now available.
The first document, “Understand Energy Standards and Codes for Windows” explores the physics behind window performance and how this relates to meeting or exceeding different building codes and standards. Other topics include solar heat gain, NFRC testing, climate zones, ENERGY STAR, net zero homes and more.
The second document, “Window Products and Energy Performance,” dives further into the details of window components, construction, and options to guide the selection of the right window for the project requirements. Topics in this document include glass types, coatings, frame and sash materials, and window types.
