Marvin is among 18 companies and organizations that have joined MBOLD, an initiative of GREATER MSP. MBOLD’s is working to build a circular economy for flexible film in the Upper Midwest, and the initiative is rooted in a groundbreaking collaboration with the aim of cutting plastic waste, reducing greenhouse gas emissions and driving circularity. Organizations joining the MBOLD circular economy initiative are asked to explore opportunities to have their flexible films – such as pallet wrap and shrink wrap– recycled close to home, evaluate strategies for increasing use of recycled resin in new film products, and/or provide strategic support to the circular economy effort. Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) recognizes Marvin facilities with safety certification awarded to just 0.1% of companies in the United States.
Launched in 2022 in partnership with Northland Community & Technical College, a grand opening event was held for the innovative program’s all-new facility.
